Selling Process

Accepting An Offer

There is a lot to consider before you sign a real estate contract. Contract can be complicated and have special contingencies. Contingencies are a part of real estate contracts and so are renegotiations – but only in limited areas. Some contingencies are frowned on – others make perfect sense. Once an offer is made, we may need to enter some negotiation in order to reach an agreement. Every effort should be made to successfully negotiate the contract.

There are literally hundreds of points that you can negotiate in a real estate transaction. Usually, you'll deal with just a handful when an offer is made. Some of the points that you may negotiate are:

  • Escrow schedule closing time

  • Home inspections cutoff dates
  • Repairs, appliances & fixtures
  • Home warranty plan
  • The price
  • Closing cost

The key to successful negotiating is keeping in mind that the end result must make both the buyer and the seller happy. If you feel the home offer is insufficient, make a counter offer.

As your real estate agent I have the market knowledge and negotiating expertise to make sure that your offer is accepted at the best price and terms possible for you.

I am skilled at helping you achieve your goals during this stressful phase. Please call or e-mail me.
